Job Summary
We are seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team! As an EMT, you will be transporting non-emergency patients to their provider appointments. Assessing patient needs and treating as necessary. You will also collect patient information, work closely with dispatch and receiving medical facilities, and create proper documentation for each transport you provide. The ideal candidate has an excellent bedside manner, strong critical thinking skills, and works well in high-pressure or stressful situations.
Responsibilities
Transport patients to various medical appointments, treatment facilities and providers.
Administer first aid and treatment to sick or injured patients, if needed
Collect vital information from patients, and safely convey that message to hospitals or treatment facilities
Communicate with hospitals, treatment centers, and other EMTs effectively
Maintain an inventory of medical supplies on your response vehicle, and resupply as needed
Continue to attend training sessions to maintain certification and keep up to date with new medical knowledge
Qualifications
Required license or certification required, as per state and federal guidelines
The ability to act quickly in emergency situations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Valid drivers license with a clean driving record in GA or neighboring state
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
