Position Overview:
As an Engineering Intern, you will work closely with our engineering team to support a variety of projects across multiple departments. This is a hands-on opportunity to apply your academic knowledge to real-world engineering challenges and gain valuable experience in manufacturing and engineering practices. A focus of this role will be on utilizing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to assist with the design, modeling, and simulation of engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, analysis, and development of engineering solutions using CAD software.
- Create 2D drawings and 3D models for components, assemblies, and systems.
- Conduct research, testing, and simulations under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Assist with the preparation of technical documentation, reports, and presentations.
- Participate in design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and project meetings.
- Provide support for ongoing engineering projects, including troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Help with the development of prototypes or test setups for experiments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong academic performance with a solid understanding of engineering principles.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor, etc.) for creating detailed drawings and models.
- Familiarity with simulation tools or techniques is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
- Previous internship or project experience is a plus but not required.
