SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
Under the direction of the Continuous Improvement Manager and/or The Quality Supervisor, the Quality Technician supports the company quality system by maintaining standard operating procedures, department work instructions, internal and external audits, and continuous training,
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Continually analysis systems and procedures for process improvements leading to the highest level of quality and productivity
- Partner with Quality Coordinator, Production Manager, and Purchasing to establish quality requirements for external suppliers
- Document quality procedures and work instructions in conjunction with Operations
- Coordinate and assist with scheduling internal, external, and supplier audits
- Identify and develop relevant quality related training needs
- Utilize Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, Process Re-engineering, and continuous Improvement philosophies
- Coordinate calibration of controlled measuring equipment
- Compile data, charts, records, etc for regular quality reports
- Develop and maintain internal and external customer relationships to support Alliance Industries Vision, Mission, and Core Values
- Comprehend, review, and complete necessary company documentation, including but not limited to, process control sheets, work tickets, and ISO 9001- related forms
- Regular and on time attendance
- Active participation in Team meeting, including presenting when needed
- Other duties as assigned
COMPETENCIES

- Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business information, technical procedures, and/or government regulations such as blueprints, technical specifications, International Standards and Government Standards (Federal, State, and Local)
- Demonstrate problem solving and team building skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Above average computer skills required
- Experience with computer programs such as Microsoft Office, manufacturing package software and training production tools required
- Public speaking
- Strong analytical skills
Education and/or Experience
Required: 5 plus years of experience in manufacturing environment, High school diplomas or GED equivalent
Preferred: Two plus years of quality assurance experience ( ISO, TS, ASQ, etc)
