Responsibilities
· Adjust part configuration manually and through machine controls; use basic shop math for calculations.
· Set up and operate CNC machining centers on various materials.
· Interpret drawings, specs, process sheets, tape readouts, and shop orders.
· Select, mount, secure, and check tools for accuracy.
· Perform tool depth and compensation calculations.
· Ensure proper operation sequences and maintain zero points on X and Y axes.
· Build tooling and assemble test equipment for product manufacturing and calibration.
Qualifications
· 2 years of CNC milling machining center experience.
· Machine parts to print specs using lathes, mills, shapers, or grinders.
· Identify non-conforming parts with precision instruments.
· Set up CNC equipment and align parts.
· Calculate surface footage using tooling and material data.
· Edit programs, set up machines, and operate CNC efficiently.
· Read and understand layouts, job packets, and blueprints (including Geometric Tolerancing).
· Collect and input SPC data using comparators, CMMs, Trimos, gauges, and related instruments.
· Perform side operations during machine cycles as needed (e.g., deburring).
