- Identify and prospect potential customers in the commercial and industrial sectors.
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business.
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of dock equipment and overhead door systems.
- Travel to site to acquire proper specifications for quotes.
- Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotations, and contracts to potential customers.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to close sales and achieve revenue targets.
- Collaborate with the sales team and management to develop strategies for market penetration and expansion.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and new product developments.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and managing customer expectations.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales forecasts.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the dock and door industry.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills with a track record of achieving sales targets.
- Ability to interpret plan drawings and bid packages.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Technical knowledge of dock equipment, overhead door systems, and related products.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
