Enterprise Project Manager
Summary
Reporting to the Vice President of IT, the Enterprise Project Manager (PM) role includes the coordination and completion of complex projects on time within budget and within scope. With latitude for independent action, the PM is responsible for overseeing all aspects of complex projects, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and summarizing progress. The PM will establish project governance frameworks and ensure adherence to project achievements. They will also provide regular project updates and reports for executive sponsors and key collaborators regarding the status of projects.
The Enterprise PM will work directly with business users, subject matter experts, 3rd party partners to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope.
Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of multiple complex, projects which are technical in nature
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time and within scope
- Define or record project scope, use cases and objectives involving all relevant stakeholders
- Estimate resource requirements
- Ensure resource availability and allocation
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
- Measure performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Manage the relationship with relevant stakeholders
- Perform risk management to minimize potential risks
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Meet with stakeholders to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
- Develop intimate knowledge of project purpose and use cases
- Delegate project tasks based on staff members' individual areas of responsibility
- Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
- Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with management and other key stakeholders
- Use and continually develop task management skills
- Apply continuous learning as required to maintain proficiency
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3-5 years working experience in project management
- Experience with insurance industry preferred
- Excellent business-facing and internal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of O365 Suite of applications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
- Experience with project management software tools
Education
Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science or related field
Location
Candidate must reside and be legally allowed to work within the United States
Position can be in office (Santa Cruz) or hybrid 3 days a week in office or fully remote
