A3GEO is seeking a full-time Staff Geotechnical Engineer to join our Berkeley, California team. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
As a Staff Geotechnical Engineer at A3GEO, you will be responsible for managing small projects as well as managing discrete tasks within larger projects. In this role, you will be expected to :
- Scope geotechnical investigations and prepare draft proposals and cost estimates;
- Manage and conduct field investigations; review samples / core; order laboratory tests and prepare / review / edit boring logs for investigations of any scale;
- Work directly with and manage sub-consultants;
- Perform and / or supervise engineering analyses;
- Prepare geotechnical investigation and geologic hazard reports;
- Review plans and specifications for conformance with the intent of A3GEO’s geotechnical recommendations;
- Assist in managing, training, mentoring and supervising staff-level engineers;
- Manage construction-phase services for projects; and
- Conduct onsite construction observation for engineering-related activities, if needed.
