Job Title : Product Engineer
Type of Engagement : 12-month contract
Work Location : Onsite position located in Salem, VA
Candidates must reside in the Greater Salem, VA area.

Job Overview :
Product Engineer focuses on designing and developing new or existing products, components, or assemblies including : Supporting the local production site and be the connection between production site and product development and vice versa in product / design related questions / issues.
Establishing mock-up / pilots / test assemblies and coordinate the product change implementation on site. Coordinating process and product changes between mother plant and receiving plant. Applying engineering principles to develop products that meet customer technical / functional specifications as well as manufacturing cost / efficiency requirements.
Conducting mathematical modelling to determine if proposed designs are technically feasible. Supporting and participating in the design, test, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototypes. May also be involved with designing product specific manufacturing production processes and equipment. Lead level is a specialist in Product Engineering typically obtained through education and work experience

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role is $43.00 - $48.00 per hour. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
