Job Summary
As the primary point of contact with customers, you will represent the company, ensuring that clients' needs and expectations are consistently met. Your role will include generating new business opportunities and sales leads through research, networking, and various outreach methods such as phone calls, emails, trade shows, and in-person visits. You will monitor industry trends and competitors to identify emerging markets, developing strategies to expand our customer base and industries served. Working closely with clients, you will offer tailored solutions that meet their needs, prepare, and deliver quotations, and collaborate with internal teams to resolve any issues. Your goal will be to drive revenue growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and position the company as a leader in the industry.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Diversify the current customer and industry base by identifying new markets and generating long-term opportunities.
- Actively pursue new business, from generating leads to closing of the sale.
- Attend or exhibit at trade shows to network, gather leads, and strengthen existing customer relationships.
- Conduct cold calls to potential clients.
- Prepare and submit accurate and competitive quotes in collaboration with your peer group.
- Build and maintain positive, long-term relationships with both current and potential customers.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, proactively resolving issues and providing solutions.
- Document sales activities, including call reports, lost business, and any customer-related challenges. Maintain sales dashboards.
- Provide detailed sales forecasts.
- Participate in monthly sales meetings and bi-weekly leadership meetings.
- Spend 30 percent of the time traveling, with office presence expected when not traveling.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to address extrusion challenges, contributing to the company’s competitiveness and growth.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build and sustain relationships with both prospective and existing clients.
- Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
· Knowledge of company capability and industry positioning in the marketplace.

- Strong problem-solving abilities and basic mathematical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP software with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems.

- Self-motivated, highly organized, detail-oriented, and forward-thinking.
Education and Experience
- Three to five years of relevant experience in Sales, Business Development, Customer Service, or Marketing.
- Proven track record of revenue growth and sales success.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting, office work, and travel to customer locations.
- Mental and visual focus required for reading detailed prints and spreadsheets.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Professional appearance, maintaining casual business attire.
