The Eastern Municipal Water District is a leading water, wastewater, and recycled water service provider in California and nationally. With a 682-square mile service area covering Western Riverside and Northern San Diego Counties, EMWD serves nearly one million customers. Our fleet consists of approximately 200 light, 75 medium, and 75 heavy-duty vehicles, as well as various off-road and construction equipment and trailers.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Fleet Services Manager to oversee the repair, maintenance, and servicing of EMWD-owned, leased, or contracted vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience in a fleet environment, with a strong understanding of the automotive and fleet industry.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the Fleet Services department
- Research and prepare studies and reports on fleet needs, developing proposals to meet current and long-term requirements
- Supervise a team of technicians, mechanics, and administrative staff
- Collaborate with the Senior Director of Administrative Services to align fleet services with EMWD's Strategic and Operational Plans
Requirements:
- Completion of the twelfth grade (12) and five (5) years of supervisory experience in vehicle and equipment maintenance
- One year of supervisory or management experience required
- Valid California driver's license, Class A, and ability to maintain insurability under EMWD's Vehicle Insurance Policy within six months of hire
