What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at Alliance Resource Group?
Alliance Resource Group is partnered with a growing Commercial/Residential contractor that has projects in Southern California and the Bay area.
Due to their current growth trajectory, the President is looking for a solid Corporate Controller who will be pivotal in growing the organization and work closely with the President, GM and VP of Sales.
Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for timely, accurate, and efficient accounting close on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
- Oversees a team of three staff (AP, AR and Payroll/HR)
- Develop, maintain, and enhance accounting and finance policies, processes, and procedures to company with US GAAP
- Responsible for treasury function and payroll for company personnel
- Develop and work alongside of project managers to maintain budgets, forecasts, and flux analysis to support decision making of senior management
- Assist in the preparation of project proformas, budget approvals and life cycle cash flow forecasting.
- Establish, improve, and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Work closely with key business leaders to manage the accounting processes and apprise senior management of opportunities and risks
- Participate in key strategic initiatives to help identify revenue enhancement and cost reduction opportunities
- Recommends and monitors benchmarks used to measure the company’s performance
- Provides insights into variances between budgets/forecasts and financial reports
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- 10 yrs. of progressive experience
- Project Accounting experience required
- NetSuite a huge plus
- Payroll including prevailing wage experience
- Construction or engineering industry experience required
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- HR knowledge/experience a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Salary : $145,000 - $165,000
