Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Parts, Service & Warehouse Technician to join our service team. This role is responsible for the efficient management of parts inventory, including receiving, organizing, and delivering parts, as well as supporting the overall workflow of the service department. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of inventory control, the ability to operate a forklift, and the capability to multitask in a fast-paced and fluid environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, Stage, and Put Away Parts:
- Unload and inspect incoming parts shipments.
- Stage and store parts in their designated locations in the parts storage area.
- Order Parts:
- Order stock parts, parts for transfers, and special orders through purchase orders (POs) as needed.
- Ensure timely ordering of parts to maintain inventory levels.
- Pull Parts:
- Accurately pull parts from inventory for use by the service team.
- Assist technicians by delivering parts to workstations as needed.
- Parts Delivery:
- Deliver parts to technicians and service areas, ensuring parts are readily available for work orders.
- Clean Units (& other service related functions, as needed):
- Assist with cleaning units as part of the preparation process for work or delivery.
- Create Work Orders:
- Create and process work orders to support the service department's operational needs.
- Operate Forklift:
- Safely operate a forklift to move parts and materials throughout the warehouse and service area.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records, including cycle counts, stock levels, and storage organization.
- Conduct regular stock audits and report discrepancies to the Service Manager.
- Other Duties as Assigned:
- Assist with various tasks as needed, including organizing storage areas and ensuring the service department has the necessary materials for operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a parts or inventory management role is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of parts, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
- Forklift certification is preferred (or willingness to obtain certification).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Must have attention to detail and the ability to track and manage inventory accurately.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
