Position Summary:
The Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing relationships in the Enterprise space. The individual will ensure customers receive creative logistics solutions, maintain high levels of customer satisfaction, and drive revenue growth through upselling, cross-selling, and identifying new opportunities. This role requires a deep understanding of the brokerage transportation industry, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure seamless execution of services.
Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management-
- Act as the primary point of contact for any transactional opportunities within the Enterprise book of business.
- Understand shipper needs and work closely with them to develop tailored solutions.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by proactively addressing challenges, managing expectations, and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Assist and participate in regular business reviews with sales and operations to assess performance, provide recommendations, and enhance relationships, when applicable.
Account Growth & Retention-
- Identify and pursue opportunities for account growth, including additional services, volume expansion, and new business.
- Drive revenue growth within existing accounts by upselling and cross-selling additional trucking and logistics services.
- Assist in the management of pricing adjustments and carrier sales capacity negotiations to maintain profitability.
- Operational Excellence:
- Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues to minimize service disruptions.
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with customer-specific requirements.
- Monitor KPIs, including cost management, on-time performance, and profitability and ensure operations is executing to those metrics
- Use data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and cost-saving strategies.
Collaboration & Teamwork-
- Work closely with sales, operations, and other internal teams to deliver on client expectations and improve service delivery.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to develop new offerings, customize solutions, and stay ahead of industry trends.
Market & Industry Knowledge-
- Stay informed about trends, challenges, and changes within the truckload landscape
- Leverage industry knowledge to advise contacts on best practices, regulatory changes, and innovative logistics solutions.
Job Requirements:
Experience-
- 3 years of experience in transportation brokerage, logistics, or supply chain management, with at least 1 year in a strategic account management or sales role.
- Proven experience in managing large or complex accounts within the truckload space.
Industry Knowledge-
- Strong understanding of the truckload transportation market, including carrier management, rate negotiations, route optimization, and freight regulations.
Communication & Relationship Skills-
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to manage team and customer expectations and negotiate effectively.
- Ability to present complex logistics solutions in a clear and concise manner.
Problem-Solving-
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying issues and implementing effective solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Project Management-
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and handle a high volume of work efficiently.
Technical Skills-
- Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS) and other logistics software.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
