What are the responsibilities and job description for the Internal Sales Representative position at Alliance Steel Inc?
SUMMARY
ISRs monitor open customer PO’s and /or forecast/historical data against all inventories in plant, OSP, and on order with the mill. Work closely with outside Sales and other key departments to ensure we have enough stock to meet customer inventory demands/orders.
Ability to communicate in a timely and professional manner to our customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned by supervisor.
Job Responsibilities:
- Entering orders and releasing material based on customer schedules
- Ability to manage customer orders from order entry to releasing of finished goods
- Ability to follow our standard operating procedures
- Extensive internal and external customer contact
- Problem solving
- Ability to work as a team player as well as independently
- Emphasis on developing and building customer relationships
- Ability to cross train to provide coverage for team members who are out of the office
- And other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be able to follow verbal instructions and training.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
· Experience in Inside sales experience in steel processing industry, preferred but not necessary.
· Attention to detail.
· Excellent organization skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, have good listening skills, and be able to effectively communicate with employees and customers at all levels in the organization.
· Must be computer literate and be fast and accurate in data entry and proficient in Excel.
· Must be able to work in fast paced stressful environment, have the ability to multitask and handle multiple projects, work independently, have strong attention to detail, and great follow up skills.
Physical Demands:
The employee is frequently required to handle, or feel; reach, and talk or hear; frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
