We are looking for a motivated & detail-oriented Junior Staff Accountant to join our team!
Position Overview :
This full-time, in-person position is an excellent opportunity for candidates with 0-5 years of experience to develop their accounting skills in a supportive environment. As a Junior Staff Accountant, you will work closely with the Assistant Controller and play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting various financial initiatives. Entry-level candidates are welcome to apply.
Location : Decatur, Alabama (In-Person)
Job Type : Full-Time
Reports To : Assistant Controller
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform general journal entries in accordance with accounting policies.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts to their corresponding subledgers.
- Account for fixed assets and calculate depreciation.
- Compile annual personal property information for each office.
- Assist in completing Finance department special initiatives as needed.
- Prepare audit selections and workpapers for auditor review.
- Provide miscellaneous reporting as requested by management.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial records.
