Job Title: Business Analyst (PL/SQL & Data bricks)
Boston, MA
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and gather detailed business requirements.
Analyze and translate business requirements into functional specifications for data-driven solutions.
Define KPIs, track business performance, and create dashboards to communicate insights.
Develop detailed documentation, such as process flows, use cases, and user stories.
PL/SQL Development:
Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to support business reporting and analysis.
Design and develop efficient PL/SQL scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
Perform database tuning and optimization to ensure high performance of queries and processes.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth integration of data solutions into business applications.
Databricks:
Work with Databricks notebooks and collaborate with data engineering teams to build, test, and deploy scalable data pipelines.
Leverage Databricks for data transformation, processing, and analysis using Python, SQL, and Spark.
Assist in the development of machine learning models and workflows within Databricks.
Integrate Databricks with other business intelligence and reporting tools.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Extract, clean, and analyze large datasets to uncover trends and insights that drive business decisions.
Create automated reporting solutions and dashboards using SQL, Databricks, and other BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders based on data analysis.
Collaboration & Communication:
Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
Work cross-functionally with product, technical, and business teams to deliver solutions that meet business goals.
Ensure proper documentation and knowledge transfer of analysis, reports, and business requirements.
Skills & Qualifications:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Experience:
3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role with a strong focus on data analysis.
Hands-on experience with PL/SQL (writing complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning).
Experience working with Databricks, including SQL and PySpark for data processing and transformation.
Familiarity with ETL tools and workflows.
Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency in PL/SQL, including query optimization, stored procedures, and functions.
Hands-on experience with Databricks notebooks, data engineering, and data science tools.
Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
Familiarity with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop) is a plus.
