Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Business Objects Developer to support data reporting and analytics initiatives for one of our enterprise clients. This role requires strong experience with SAP BusinessObjects tools, report development, and data modeling. Prior experience with Cisco Systems Inc. is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Business Objects reports and dashboards
- Work with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Develop and optimize Universes (IDT and UDT) to support various reporting needs
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance across BO reports
- Perform impact analysis and resolve data/reporting issues
- Collaborate with data warehouse teams to ensure alignment of report logic with data models
- Provide documentation and user training as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5 years of hands-on experience with SAP BusinessObjects (Web Intelligence, IDT, UDT, Crystal Reports)
- Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.)
- Experience in Universe design, development, and performance tuning
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL pipelines
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred:
- Previous experience at Cisco Systems Inc.
- Knowledge of SAP BW or HANA integration with BusinessObjects
- Experience with Tableau or Power BI is a plus
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum project environments
