Alliant Bank is opening a de novo branch in Moberly, Missouri. We are seeking a Branch Operations Manager to oversee branch operations, ensure compliance, drive performance goals, and provide exceptional customer service. This position reports to the local Vice President and requires a proactive leader with strong operational expertise, management skills, and a commitment to excellence in banking services.
Key Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Branch Operations & Compliance:
- Oversee the daily operations of a full-service branch, ensuring compliance with bank policies, regulatory requirements, and security protocols.
- Monitor customer transactions for fraud prevention and policy adherence.
- Ensure accurate reporting, document retention, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain branch facilities in a professional and customer-friendly condition.
Team Leadership & Performance Management:
- Lead and develop a team of banking professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Set and achieve branch performance goals in alignment with regional and bank objectives.
- Provide coaching, training, and supervision to staff, ensuring high service and sales standards.
- Conduct performance evaluations and make recommendations for hiring, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
Customer Service & Relationship Management:
- Supervise the customer service team, ensuring efficient processing of transactions and resolution of customer inquiries.
- Assist with complex customer service issues and approve exception transactions.
- Build long-term relationships with clients, identifying opportunities for cross-selling and referrals.
- Address and resolve customer complaints professionally and effectively.
Sales & Business Development:
- Support sales and marketing efforts by engaging in business development activities and expanding the bank’s client base.
- Understand and promote the bank’s products and services, educating staff on cross-selling opportunities.
- Develop and maintain a strong network of business and community contacts.
Loan Operations & Support:
- Ensure proper processing of loan payments, escrow disbursements, and collateral lien perfection.
- Maintain loan document tracking and reporting.
- Address customer inquiries regarding loan products and procedures.
Qualifications for the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- High School Diploma, associate or bachelor's degree preferred;
- 5 years of experience in banking or related industry;
- Supervisory experience;
- Strong knowledge of customer service principles and processes;
- Strong interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication, and listening skills;
- Computer and technological proficiency;
- Ability to learn and use banking software;
- Strong critical thinking abilities; and
- No existing employment or non-solicit contracts restricting customer or employee engagement.
