Job Summary
We have a great opportunity for an Agriculture Representative I - in Berlin, Marion or Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin.
We are looking for an individual who has an agricultural background and a passion for energy. The person in this role will be responsible for investigating agricultural (farming) stray voltage concerns, educating agricultural customers on energy efficiency and electrical safety, and fostering relationships with customers and agri-businesses.

This position also coordinates activities required to deliver utility services to new agricultural construction, service upgrades, and rural electric and gas system modifications. This person in this role will have a mix of work in the field - often at customers farms and technical work in the office.
What you will do
  • Investigates agricultural stray voltage concerns, following standardized testing procedures and documentation. Analyzes stray voltage data collected and coordinates appropriate personnel to determine mitigation strategies if needed.
  • Identifies rural electric and gas system constraints based on data collected and proposes improvements. Works collaboratively with other operations departments to determine best solutions and implementation plans.
  • Based on service area, may implement all aspects of the Farm Wiring Program, including promoting the program, project documentation, determining project qualifications, verifying project completion, performing a stray voltage investigation and assisting with electrician education.
  • Based on service area, may provide appropriate resources and assists rural electricians, customers and builders with proper wiring practices for agricultural buildings to improve safety and minimize stray voltage potential.
  • Provides resources and promotes energy efficiency programs and services available to agricultural customers via statewide efficiency programs or company administered programs.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree Emphasis in engineering, agricultural sciences, or related area Preferred

Required Experience
  • Agriculture exposure and experience.
Other Requirements
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to use computer software programs (e.g., e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and project management).
  • Ability to work in a diverse work environment.
