Job Summary
Key Account Manager II manages and coordinates all activities for accounts of customers with substantial energy usage, such as commercial and industrial (C&I) customers, universities, and local municipalities. This position negotiates, secures, or administers service contracts, tariffs, and agreements that meet customer needs to keep their businesses running smoothly and help them reach long-term sustainability goals. This role is responsible for successfully establishing, maintaining, and enhancing credibility and communication with C&I customers, account team members, field personnel, and key company functional areas to deliver exceptional customer service.
What you will do
Manages the relationship with community and commercial and industrial (C&I) customers and develops energy efficiency opportunities and customer growth potential to improve customer satisfaction.
Performs research and analysis to assist C&I customers on billing, energy use, pricing options, contract options, utility investments, and related projects.
Coordinates the preparation, and timely and accurate execution of utility customer contracts as requested by the customer and ensures that the broad range of services are accessible to meet the customer’s needs.
Maintains an organized library of contacts and related documents in the corporate records management system (ECRM) to facilitate rapid response requests.
Works directly with economic and community development personnel To pursue new load opportunities including new business and expansion opportunities.
Supports the maintenance of the interruptible database necessary to generate reports, maintain contact records, and initiate notifications of interruptions.
Helps to ensure that regulatory requirements are met while maximizing customer satisfaction with the notification process.
Learns, observes, and enforces safety rules and practices, encouraging safe work behaviors and promptly correcting conditions and unsafe behaviors.
Understands the Industrial Parks in their territories.
Engages in other duties as needed that support our Values and help deliver on our Purpose to serve customers and build stronger communities.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree Business administration, marketing, engineering, economics, or related area. Preferred
Required Experience
3 years of related experience
Preferred Experience
Experience in the utility industry and with commercial and / or industrial customer support or sales.
Other Requirements
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must be willing to travel.
Travel can include occasional overnight stays.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Basic knowledge of business economics and customer relations, supplemented with appropriate technical expertise to facilitate technical solutions preferred.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to interpret contract language and the understanding of applicable tariffs.
Demonstrated ability to use computer software programs (e.g., e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and project management).
Demonstrated solid problem-solving skills and the ability to work with others to find solutions to customer requests preferred.
Ability to work effectively in a diverse work environment.

Pay Range : 85,000-$93,000
This position is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
