SUMMARY
Responsible for working with Alliant's Public Entity Program Account and Underwriting Teams to develop, maintain, and/or support financial activities. Provides creative business solutions in order to support the Employee Benefits' Public Entity insurance purchasing and risk pools governed by Joint Power Authorities (JPA).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish new business quoting process with Underwriting Team for all Program coverages.
Perform analysis and review of prospect detail proposal information ensuring program quote approval documents adhere to carrier and client requirements prior to submittal to JPA.
Responsible for full coordination of new business quotes and plan change requests with Program carriers to ensure accuracy of plan documents and work to resolve discrepancies with the carrier.
Liaise with Underwriting team and JPA to assess and resolve any outstanding questions or concerns.
Responsible for the review of rates prior to client submittal by verifying various program components are accounted for and calculated accurately.
Responsible for the annual client renewal letter process deliverables which includes drafting, configuring, and testing system template letters, ensuring financial rate information is accurate, and letters are distributed timely.
Maintain Public Entity Programs Financial Database within applicable applications.
Maintain Rate Grids and communicate with business partners.
Deliver new business quotes and plan changes to Account Service Teams.
Support communication efforts by conveying financial proposals and Program financial data to Service Teams.
Comply with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information).
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in finance or business-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Prior related work experience
Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal
Valid Insurance License within 90 Days
SKILLS
Knowledge of business and financial concepts and principles
Knowledge of financial procedures and methods, and how to apply them to business transactions
Knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to insurance and financial operations
Skill in communicating effectively verbally and in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience
Excellent time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to work and maintain a high level of responsiveness in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to analyze, consolidate, and interpret financial data
