Allianz Global Investors is seeking a forward-thinking and result-oriented summer intern for the US Fixed Income Research Team. The intern will support the team on a broad range of responsibilities from company, sector and thematic angles. The position will be based in our New York City office.
Within this role, you will learn about the US Investment Grade and High Yield Bond Markets, interact with research analysts, portfolio managers and traders, and contribute to our analysis in making investment decisions.
What you do :
- Learn the basics of corporate fixed income research and how to analyze individual companies and sectors, incorporating macroeconomic factors and sector inputs
- Support the Senior Analysts and other broader team members on ad hoc requests
- Undertake company ESG analysis
- Contribute to sector, company thematic research
- Participate in company management meetings and earnings calls
- Perform financial modeling and relative value analysis
- Help the research team prepare sector presentations
- Monitor movements in bond markets
- Work with the research analysts to identify investment opportunities
