Your Team
The Alternative Risk Transfer (ART) line of business of Allianz Commercial creates innovative tailored structured insurance, captive reinsurance, and other non-traditional risk management solutions for a wide range of corporate and financial clients globally. We specialize in helping our customers mitigate their most complex risks with bespoke multi-year and multi-line agreements covering a broad range of risks, leveraging our expertise in alternative risk transfer and the global capabilities of the Allianz Group.
The Impact You Will Have
We are in search of a Senior Claims Analyst as part of our Global Claims Team within the Alternative Risk Transfer line of business. In this role, you will manage a diverse portfolio of international insurance and reinsurance claims, including both CAT and Non-CAT, as well as multi-line and multi-year deals. Your responsibilities will include investigation, negotiation, and resolution of claims, along with account administration, complex issue resolution, coordination of third-party services, and conducting thorough coverage evaluations. You will deliver high-quality service to both internal and external customers while maintaining strong relationships with brokers and clients. This role offers exciting opportunities for innovation and growth within Allianz Commercial.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include :
Familiarizing yourself with ART LoB (line of business) and managing the allocated claims portfolio(s).
Coordinating funding and cash calls, tracking claims, and updating ART LoB claims systems using Bordereau Excel schedules.
Maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders, in particular with reinsurers and Third-Party Administrators (TPAs), ensuring seamless operations and accurate reporting.
Maintaining accurate claims records in Allianz Commercial and ART LoB-specific systems, ensuring proper monitoring and reflection of claim data.
Managing the production of management information reports and proactively identifying loss trends.
Ensuring proper documentation, coverage evaluation, and reserving for claims, while coordinating with internal and external teams.
Coordinating settlements of medium to high-value claims, supporting cost-effective and service-oriented solutions.
Ensuring claims compliance within authority limits, referring cases appropriately, and assisting in audits and establishing procedures.
Building and maintaining relationships with brokers, clients, and stakeholders, and supporting marketing activities and business acquisition.
What You’ll Bring to the Role
Expert Knowledge in Products and Coverages : Deep understanding of relevant products, terms, wordings, and conditions across the LoB.
Claims Handling Expertise : In-depth knowledge of the claims process from notification through settlement and recovery.
Reserving and Reinsurance : Strong grasp of reserving principles, coinsurance, and reinsurance practices.
Legal and Regulatory Understanding : Knowledge of legal frameworks, litigation processes, and dispute management techniques.
Relationship Building with Brokers : Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with brokers at peer group level.
Communication and Presentation Skills : Clear, effective communication both written and verbal, with strong presentation capabilities.
Influencing and Negotiation : Skilled in negotiating, managing conflicts, and influencing decisions in complex situations.
A basic understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential applications in business;
Bachelors’ Degree desired.
The annualized base pay range for this role is $85,000 - $132,236. The annual base salary range represents a nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AzC total compensation package. As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards.
