Chelmsford (hybrid)
Allianz Commercial South Region is looking for a dedicated Underwriting Team Manager to join our Chelmsford leadership team to lead and support one of our fantastic underwriting teams.
The right candidate will be a strong operational team leader who will work within an established team of Mid-Market P&C underwriters, taking ownership of day-to-day operational results. They will have the skill set to lead the team in a professional way, delivering a high standard of service to both external and internal customers.
This role is based in Chelmsford and will report into the Branch Manager.

Skills & Experience :
Leadership and People Management
- Experience of leading a team, monitoring performance and ensuring your team is focussed on the key challenges at all times ideally within an insurance environment is desirable but not essential.
- You must enjoy interacting with others, building strong internal and external relationships and have excellent communication skills to drive and foster a positive team culture.
- You should be confident handling, analysing and interpreting data.
- You should thrive in a fast-paced environment and get a sense of achievement meeting goals and targets.
- Evidence of personal and professional development and commitment to undertake continued professional development is essential.
- Insurance experience is an advantage
Operational / Technical Management :
You should have experience to effectively prioritise and organise work to maximise opportunities and deliver the business result by :
