Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental team as we are transitioning to a new owner. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, medical records management, and proficiency with dental software such as Open dental. Experience in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, or as a dental receptionist will be considered a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information in the dental software.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Schedule appointments and manage the front desk as needed.
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, billing, and insurance verification.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow within the clinic.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Open dental is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding is beneficial.
- Experience in pediatric dentistry or endodontics is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for managing medical records effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and team members professionally.

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
