Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out process.
- Handle phone systems efficiently, responding to inquiries and scheduling appointments.
- Review patient documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Verify insurance information and assist patients with understanding their coverage.
- Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize Open dental software for patient management and record keeping.
- Assist with billing inquiries and coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide medical administrative support as needed, including filing and data entry.
- Ensure the front desk area is organized and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dental office or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
- Proficiency using Open dental is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Familiarity with insurance verification processes is desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation review.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Proficient typing skills are necessary for accurate data entry.
