What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatric In Home Caregiver position at Allied Adult Day?
We are seeking a compassionate, responsible, and energetic caregiver to provide after-school care 3 days a week for a child with special needs. This position does have potential for 5 days a week during the summer. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing pediatric care, particularly for children with physical and developmental challenges. You will be responsible for engaging our child in a safe, supportive, and enriching environment, while also assisting with basic personal care, educational activities, and transportation to activities.
Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one care for a child with pediatric needs after school and on weekends.

Assist with homework, educational activities, and physical exercises.
*
Engage the child in outdoor or indoor recreational activities to promote social, emotional, and physical development.
*
Provide assistance with personal care, including feeding, dressing, and hygiene.
*
Ensure safety at all times, especially during outdoor activities or transportation.
*
Assist with light household tasks related to the child's care.
*
Communicate with parents about the child's progress and needs.
Requirements:
*
Prior experience in pediatric caregiving, child care, or related fields.
*
CPR and First Aid certification (preferred, or willing to obtain).
*
Experience with children who have special needs (a plus).
*
Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
*
Ability to work after school hours (typically 3 PM–7 PM) and weekends (flexible hours).
*
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications:
*
Experience in supporting children with physical, developmental, or emotional challenges.
*
Flexible availability on weekends and holidays.
*
Some knowledge of pediatric health needs and safety protocols.

Every patient has different needs, we will match you accordingly based off your experience level and personality. Allied understands it can be nerve wracking entering homes of strangers so we offer meet and greets where you can introduce yourself to the patient and get their story and care plan.

We are very flexible with scheduling and will match your clients to your availability.
We use maps and always let you know how far away your clients are and try to keep you close to home if possible.
On onboarding process is done online through our employee portal. Once you have completed paperwork, background checks and drug screens we do an online video call orientation.
