What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day Shift Caregiver position at Allied Adult?
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated In-Home Caregiver to provide non-medical assistance to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing personal care, companionship, and support to elderly or disabled individuals, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
- Help with light housekeeping tasks, including meal preparation, laundry, and general cleaning.
- Provide companionship and engage in social activities with clients.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning.
- Ensure the client’s home environment is safe and comfortable.
- Provide medication reminders (non-medical assistance).
- Monitor the well-being of the client and communicate any changes to family members or supervisors.
- Assist with running errands such as grocery shopping, appointments, and other activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous caregiving experience preferred, but not required.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to lift and assist with mobility if needed.
- Must pass background check and drug screening.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain certification).
