SALES ENGINEER / INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION

- Initiate and develop contact with key and target customers to establish strong relationships.
- Develop knowledge in the primary product areas, including Robotics, PLC, HMI, Servos / Motion Control, Safety Devices, Sensors, and Networking.
- Consult on applications with customers in the primary product areas.
- Consistently use PC-based software to document sales opportunities and to coordinate required sales activities between other regions and management.
- Travel – occasional domestic travel may be required for training.
- Develop and support sales strategies and objectives to expand market share in the region.
- Monitor progress toward goals, making necessary adjustments to reach objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / electrical, industrial technology, or experience in technical sales.
- Strong knowledge of industrial controls, as well as the machine applications encountered in the Fort Wayne area.
- An awareness of the Industrial Automation Market – including experience with end-user specifications.
- Ability to develop a customer base and generate sales to accommodate goals.
- Strong negotiating, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Capable of conducting technical and sales presentations to key clients.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of follow-through.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS :
Total compensation awarded $115-135K plus sales commissions / bonus. Earning potential to $200K. You will also receive an excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 3-week vacations, holidays, and a 401K, car allowance of $500, plus mileage.
