Duties of this position:
- Provides residential management oversight to a census of 8-10 resident acress two residential CLA's
- Ensures that general operations are maintained by Connecticut Department of Developmental Services (DDS) licensing regulations and Allied Community Program’s policies and procedures.
- Maintain records of supported individual(s) care, conditions, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with DSP, program coordinator, director, and clinical.
- Develop and implement person-centered Individual Plans (IP).
- Provides advocacy for everyone supported based on their personal choices.
- Complete all necessary documentation with adherence to deadlines, including behavior plans, individual goals, financial records, communication log, nursing log, incident reports, and medication Kardex.
- Contributes to Interdisciplinary Team meetings as needed.
- Effectively manages houses/programs budget and maintains accountability for houses and personal funds.
- Ensure confidentiality of individuals supported and the agency.
- Develop respectful relationships with the individuals supported and maintain professional boundaries.
- Encourages and maintains cheerful, professional family, guardian, DDS, interagency, and community relationships.
- Ensures effective hiring, training, evaluation, and supervision of Direct Support Professionals to provide quality services to agency-supported individuals.
- Organizes and facilitates staff meetings and ensures regular house meetings are held.
- Provide necessary support/ treatment and documentation for uncommon incidents.
- Effectively manages houses/programs budget and maintains accountability for house and personal funds.
- Dynamically demonstrates efforts to update and improve service delivery.
- Provide emergency coverage as needed. 24-hour on-call responsibilities.
- Perform other related duties as requested.
Qualifications::
Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
- Successfully meet and maintain all certifications and training requirements established by regulatory bodies and the agency’s policies and procedures.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to organize and prioritize projects.
- Facilitate problem-solving through teamwork.
- Ability to work productively interdepartmentally.
- Perform general computer tasks in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and virtual meeting venues.
- Ability to deal with a wide variety of people as the Agency’s representative.
- Possesses practical oral and written communication skills.
- Commitment to helping persons with disabilities lead more independent lives.
Job Requirements::
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid Drivers's License.
- Must pass pre-employment criminal/DMV/abuse registry checks.
