Primary Objectives of Position:
- Deliver merchandise to customers in a manner that is timely and most efficient for the company
- Help achieve the cooperative’s mission and goals
- Perform outstanding customer service
Responsibilities of the Position:
- Promptly delivery and pick up of merchandise
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues (thorough pre/post trips) and perform preventative maintenance
- Complete and turn in all driver paperwork (i.e. manifests, shipping papers, HOS logs, etc.)
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Loading and unloading of merchandise
- Report defects, accidents or violations to manager
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Maintain CDL license with required endorsements, including HAZMAT and tanker
- Must provide a medical certificate
- Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and be subject to random testing
- Must have clean driving record.
- Team Player – working well with others.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull up to 70 pounds, have full use of arms, legs and good finger dexterity.
- Must be able to climb stairs, reach above and at shoulder level, and work on or with moving machinery, in outside temperatures.
