Primary Objectives of Position:
- Transport merchandise to customer locations in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring a positive delivery experience for all clients.
- Contribute to the cooperative's success by adhering to all company policies, safety regulations (federal, state, and cooperative), and best practices.
Responsibilities of the Position:
- Safely and efficiently deliver and pick up materials to and from customer locations.
- Ensure all required documentation (e.g., sales tickets, delivery receipts) is accurately completed before and after each delivery.
- Collect payment from customers as needed.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
- Ensure the safe and proper loading and unloading of merchandise.
- Comply with all applicable traffic laws and safety regulations (e.g., DOT regulations).
- Submit accurate and timely daily trip reports to supervisors.
- Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and other team members.
- Assist with all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 18 years of age or older
- Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred, or ability to obtain a farm service license.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
