This position necessitates collaboration with healthcare team members, as well as possession of pertinent medical and drug information necessary to examine and treat gastroenterology patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Healthcare Management: Manage health problems and coordinate healthcare for patients in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations.
- Compliance with Standards of Care: Comply with standards of care, including assessment of health status, diagnosis, development of plan of care and treatment, implementation of treatment plan, and evaluation of patient status and clinical management.
Requirements
- Pertinent Medical Knowledge: Possess knowledge of pertinent medical and drug information necessary to examine and treat gastroenterology patients.
- Clinical Certifications: Hold current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Hospital Privileges: Have, or be eligible for, hospital privileges.
- Multitasking and Attention to Detail: Be comfortable multitasking with a sharp attention to detail.
- Efficient Performance: Able to perform duties accurately in a timely and efficient manner.
Education and Experience
- Nurse Practitioner Program: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
- APRN Licensure: Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Licensure in NY in good standing.
- Certifications and Licenses: Current DEA certificate, NJ License, and CDS.
