We are excited to announce that we are looking for a Full-Time, Medical Receptionist/Front Desk at Monmouth Gastroenterology in Oakhurst, NJ.
About the Role:
The Medical Receptionist/Front Desk plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of Monmouth Gastroenterology by serving as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. This position is responsible for managing patient appointments, handling inquiries, and maintaining accurate patient records, which are essential for providing high-quality healthcare services. The Medical Receptionist/Front Desk will also facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring that all necessary information is conveyed efficiently. By managing administrative tasks effectively, this role contributes to a positive patient experience and supports the overall mission of the healthcare facility. Ultimately, the Medical Receptionist 1 helps to create a welcoming environment that prioritizes patient care and satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) and/or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
- Experience with patient scheduling software.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring optimal use of the provider's time.
- Manage patient records, including updating information and ensuring confidentiality.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and insurance.
- Assist with billing and insurance verification processes as needed.
