Allied Digestive Health is seeking a skilled and experienced full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at Albany Gastroenterology Consultants in Albany, NY. This role involves managing health problems and coordinating care for patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing health problems and coordinating care for patients in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations
- Assessing patient status, developing treatment plans, and implementing treatments
- Collaborating with other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records
- Providing excellent patient service skills and displaying courteousness and respect
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
- Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Licensure in NY and good standing
- Current DEA certificate
- Experience in hospitalist or primary care setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Familiarity with HIPAA and OSHA Laws and guidelines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of gastroenterology patients and pertinent medical information
- Experience working with electronic medical records and MS Office
