At Allied Digestive Health, we are seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner with GI experience to manage health problems and coordinate care for patients in outpatient and inpatient settings at Teaneck Gastroenterology in Bergen County, NJ.
This role requires collaboration with a healthcare team and adherence to state and federal regulations. Candidates must possess a graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and hold current licenses and certifications, including BLS and ACLS.
Job Description:
The Nurse Practitioner is a licensed independent practitioner responsible for managing health problems and coordinating healthcare for patients in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations. This position must comply with the standards of care, which include assessment of health status, diagnosis, development of a plan of care and treatment, implementation of the treatment plan, and evaluation of patient status and clinical management.
Essential Skills:
- Knowledge of pertinent medical and drug information necessary to examine and treat gastroenterology patients.
- Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Hospital privileges.
- Comfortable multitasking with a sharp attention to detail.
- Ability to perform duties accurately in a timely and efficient manner.
Education and Experience Required:
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
- Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Licensure in NY in good standing.
- Current DEA certificate, NJ License, and CDS.
