Nurse Practitioner-GI Experience a must at Allied Digestive Health
The Nurse Practitioner at Allied Digestive Health is a licensed independent practitioner responsible for managing health issues and coordinating care for patients with gastroenterology needs. This position requires hospitalist or gastroenterology experience, and duties include assessing health status, diagnosing, treating, and collaborating with the healthcare team. Essential skills include knowledge of medical information, BLS and ACLS certification, and multitasking capabilities.
Responsibilities:
The Nurse Practitioner is a licensed independent practitioner who is responsible for managing health problems and coordinating health care for patients in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations. This position must comply with the standards of care, which include without limitation assessment of health status, diagnosis, development of plan of care and treatment, implementation of treatment plan, and evaluation of patient status and clinical management. The practice is conducted in collaboration with other health care team members.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of pertinent medical and drug information necessary to examine and treat gastroenterology patients.
- Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Hospital privileges.
- Ability to multitask with a sharp attention to detail.
- Able to perform duties accurately in a timely and efficient manner.
Education and Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
- Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Licensure NY in good standing.
- Current DEA certificate, NJ License and CDS.
