The Glazier will play a crucial role in ensuring that all glass installations meet safety standards and aesthetic requirements.
Duties
- Install glass in windows, doors, skylights, and other structures according to specifications.
- Measure and cut glass to fit specific dimensions using hand tools and power tools.
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure airtight installations.
- Repair or replace broken glass in existing structures while maintaining safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals on-site to ensure project timelines are met.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of glass installations.
- Conduct routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in the installation of fixtures and perform metal stud framing as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Glazier or similar role in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to glass installation.
- Familiarity with caulking techniques and construction painting is preferred.
- Experience with cabinet installation is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and follow detailed instructions.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
