Job Details
Echo / Vascular Tech
Must be a team player, flexible and accustomed to fast paced environment.
This is a 13-week contract assignment and requires at least one 13-week previous travel assignment and two (2) years current experience required in specialty.
Required to work independently and as a team member.
Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the practice of echocardiography to perform all routine echocardiograms for evaluation of possible abnormal heart defects or disease in the inpatient setting.
Performs Stress echocardiogram and Dobutamine stress echocardiograms.
Accurately completes charges for all exams performed in the EMR system as well as initiate and assign the preliminary report in PACS.
Maintains and submits required data for QA as well as IAC cases.
Job Requirements
BLS certification required and must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross.
New Mexico State Licensure under the New Mexico Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Program (NMRTT).
ARDMS / RDCS credential with one of the following specialties : AE, FE, PE; or one CCI credential : RCS, RSV, RCCS.
Schedule Information
8 hour Monday - Friday Shifts.
Start time : 8 AM.
On call, weekends and holidays may be required.
Floating to nearby facilities required, if needed.
Travelers are first to float within facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of permanent assigned location.
Traveling pairs are not guaranteed same schedules or same shifts.
Unit Specific Information
EMR : EPIC experience preferred
Orientation : 1st week of the contract, not to exceed 40 total hours, and includes EPIC training.
Scrubs : Required (wine, burgundy and maroon) Top, bottom and jacket (undershirt if worn) must match and will not be provided by the facility.

Travelers must not have been an employee of the Presbyterian Healthcare Services system for 12 months from last day worked, in order to be considered for a travel position.
State tax is passed through to your agency and will be reflected on your invoice. The state tax should be paid to the state of New Mexico.
ENSURE AN ACCURATE SS# and DOB IS ENTERED. IF NOT, TRAVELER MAY BE PUSHED / AGENCY SUSPENDED (creates I.T. onboarding issues).
