Job description
Allied Electric Services, Inc. is seeking one Entry to Mid-Level Estimator to join our Estimating team. Experience is a plus but not necessary. We are willing to train the right candidate to accurately estimate bid opportunities. As an Estimator you will be responsible for evaluating available documents to calculate accurate, competitive, and profitable bid proposals for various electrical projects.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist in the entire procurement process by preparing and soliciting bid requests from subcontractors and vendors
- Review specifications, drawings and determine scope of work and contents of estimate
- Ability to assist in quantity takeoffs, preparation of subcontract bid package, solicitation and scope review
- Prepare accurate, detailed, quantity estimates and takeoffs
- Work in partnership with the Chief Estimator to complete bids on time and within scope
- Perform additional tasks or functions in response to directions and priorities set by supervising manager
Desired Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to read bid sets, architectural plans as well as construction cost estimates
- Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office with advanced skill level in Excel
- Prior experience with Accubid software
- A Professional Demeanor, pays attention to detail and communicates well to others (internally and externally to customers)
- Self-motivated, able to multi-task and meet deadlines
- A problem solver who has the ability to adapt quickly to change
- Work as a Team player
Qualifications: * High school Diploma/GED
- Ability to learn estimating software
- Basic Electrical Knowledge
- Basic computer skill (Microsoft Office)
- High school Diploma/GED
- Must be professional, well organized and works well within a team environment
- Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship

Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
