$35,000 yearly
Responsibilities:- Document and communicate policy approvals or rejections to the underwriting team, insurance agents, supervisors, and clients in a timely manner
- Develop reports using accurate data and analytics that will be leveraged for policy decisions such as coverage determinations and policy parameters
- Serve as the liaison for underwriters and customers in order to track, manage, and prioritize insurance applications and other services
- Communicate with applicants in person and via phone and email to collect current and accurate insurance information to use in the development of risk assessment profiles
- Support the development of accurate policy recommendations for existing and prospective customers by verifying that all records in underwriting software programs are accurate and complete
- Review both new and renewal policies for accuracy
- Review changes to client policies for accuracy
- Keen attention to detail necessary to collect and maintain insurance customer information
- Must have a bachelor s degree in mathematics, statistics, business administration, or other related field
- Designation as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) preferred but not required
- Must have strong communications and interpersonal skills
- Working as an administrative assistant or similar, or a role in the insurance industry is a plus
