Join South Florida’s Premier Design & Remodeling Firm, Allied Kitchen and Bath as an Human Resources Generalist
DUTIES include, but not limited to;
- Talent management: Hiring new employees, conducting background checks, and onboarding new staff , writing job descriptions
- Compensation and benefits: Deciding on compensation and benefits packages, and managing pay and employee hours, along with the Controller
- Employee relations: Handling employee issues, conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary actions, along with the Controller and other senior management if needed.
- Compliance: Ensuring the company adheres to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Maintaining updates to the Employee Handbook
- Data management: Maintaining accurate and confidential HR records and documentation
- Training: Running orientation, training and training new and existing employees, will work closely with the Director of Administration.
- Performance management: Running performance evaluations, with department managers
- Organizational structure: Help define organizational structure
- Values Supports / functions as backup to Payroll Specialist, as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned and culture: Working to align organizational values with employee behavior
- Employee Retention
- Timecard monitoring, corrections
- Explaining company policies, collecting signed documents/policies.
· Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment (annual and on-going), 401(k) enrollment and other required HR/Benefit meetings, events, public relations. Assist senior management with various duties.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- SHRM Certification preferred.
- Construction industry helpful but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with Smart phones and Apps
