Allied Machine & Engineering, headquartered in Dover, Ohio, is a leading manufacturer of hole making and finishing cutting tool systems. Our tooling solutions deliver the lowest cost per hole in a wide range of applications. Shift premium is available for this position.
Allied is currently looking for an individual to set-up and operation of 5 axis Walter Grinders to front grind Gen3sys inserts.
Location: 120 Deeds Dr. Dover, OH
Schedule: 3-2-3 (Work 3 days, off 2 days, & work 3 days - working every other weekend)
Training Schedule: C Crew (5:00am - 5:00pm)
Permanent Schedule: B Crew (5:00pm - 5:00am)
- Setup Walter Vision CNC grinder for Gen3 product. Includes measuring and installing wheel stacks, selecting tool holders, loading programs, dressing wheels, and making offset adjustments.
- Finish grind Gen3 product on Walter Vision CNC grinder. Monitor wheel conditions and dress as needed.
- Inspect GEN3 geometry per inspection plan using manual camera, Zoller Titan, and micrometers.
- Process orders per ALPS scheduling system.
- Maintain productivity and product quality to meet department goals.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements
- Basic math, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Able to lift 32 Lbs.
- Able to be on their feet for 12 hours with continuous movement
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two years of CNC setu-up experience preferred
- Ability to navigate CNC controls
- Attention to detail
- Good organizational and planning skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to troubleshoot problems
- Ability to understand prints
- Computer skills
