A janitor's job is to keep a building clean and well-maintained, both inside and out. They perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing. Janitors may also perform minor repairs, such as unclogging toilets or replacing lightbulbs. Responsibilities
- Cleaning: Clean and sanitize high-traffic areas, restrooms, and other common spaces
- Maintenance: Perform minor repairs, such as unclogging toilets or replacing lightbulbs
- Safety: Ensure doors are locked at night, and report safety hazards to management
- Supplies: Stock cleaning supplies, such as paper towels and soap
- Equipment: Maintain cleaning equipment and tools, such as auto floor scrubbers
- Outside work: Remove snow and leaves, wash windows, mow lawns, and water plants
- Checks: Perform routine checks of ventilation, heating, and cooling systems
- Organization: Keep the janitor's closet organized and stocked with supplies
- Follow procedures: Follow safety rules and company policies
Janitors may work in schools, offices, hospitals, libraries, and other commercial buildings. They often work early in the morning or late at night to ensure the building is clean. Skills

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
