We are seeking a dynamic VP of Manufacturing Operations to oversee our manufacturing processes, quality control, purchasing, engineering, continuous improvement, and distribution. Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, 7-10 years or more of related experience. Prefers experience in a plastics molding manufacturing facility. Work will be onsite

PURPOSE: As a key member of AMP’s Executive Team, the Vice President of Manufacturing Operations is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s manufacturing operations. This role requires strategic leadership to develop and implement long-term plans that align with the company’s strategic objectives. Cultivate a leadership approach that balances operational excellence with a commitment to employee satisfaction, recognizing that a motivated workforce is the foundation of sustainable success in manufacturing. This position encompasses all production processes, quality control, purchasing, engineering, distribution, and continuous improvement initiatives.

1.0 DUTIES / RESPONSBILITIES:

  • Establishes strong communication channels, actively listening to employee feedback, and implements strategies that prioritize well-being, engagement, and career progression.
  • Develop a highly competitive manufacturing operation that supports the Company’s business development objectives, which are focused on meeting and exceeding customer requirements while implementing safe and efficient operations.
  • Clearly communicates a compelling purpose and direction that energizes and unites all teams towards a common goal.
  • Lead manufacturing operations to surpass industry and competitive benchmarks in safety, quality, productivity, delivery, cost, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop a Continuous Improvement culture and support systems, with a strong commitment to Lean Manufacturing Principals, which results in constantly improving performance of the manufacturing operations.
  • Oversee and monitor daily manufacturing operations, analyzing performance metrics and developing action plans to address underperformance.
  • Develop and implement strategies that meet capacity requirements in alignment with the company’s growth and profitability goals.
  • Continuously assess and optimize pricing, operating costs, distribution, product development, market expansion, and other operational policies.
  • Attract, retain, mentor, and develop direct reports to establish a high-performance manufacturing team.
  • Establish a problem-solving culture utilizing data-driven decision-making and employee teamwork to establish a sense of belonging and shared purpose.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and operational efficiency.
  • Provide employees with autonomy, confidence, and the necessary tools to take ownership of their work and contribute meaningfully.
  • Work closely with the CFO to develop and manage annual budget plans, monitoring expenditures to drive cost-effective decisions.
  • Provide leadership and operational oversight for the PTI and India facilities as part of the company’s Executive Leadership Team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support business objectives.

2.0 REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES

  • Extensive experience in successful manufacturing leadership roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of the manufacturing processes, quality control, and supply chain management.
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent project management skills to manage complex processes to bring new products to market from development to production.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish a highly performing manufacturing team; evaluating and reconfiguring as necessary to create a maintainable and collaborative group.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principals and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and achieve operation targets.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and compliance.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities for effective collaboration.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Visionary mindset for innovative solutions.

3.0 EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 7-10 years in related fields of Manufacturing Operations.
  • Plastics molding experience a plus.
  • Multi-location; based in Bryan, Ohio, with ancillary operations in Point Pleasant, West Virginia and India.

6.0 WORK ENVIRONMENT:
