- Perform all aspects of blood bank testing: This includes blood typing, antibody screening, cross-matching, infectious disease testing, and preparing blood components for transfusion.
- Ensure accurate and timely results: Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, testing, and reporting, maintaining accurate records.
- Maintain quality control: Adhere to quality control policies, perform equipment maintenance and validation, and investigate any deviations from expected results.
- Maintain a safe and compliant work environment: Safely handle blood products, comply with all safety regulations, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Comply with all policies and regulations: Adhere to personnel policies, participate in regulatory inspections, and maintain professional communication with colleagues and other departments.
- Technical Proficiency: Possesses in-depth knowledge of blood banking procedures, laboratory techniques, and relevant regulations.
- Interpersonal & Communication: Effectively communicates with colleagues, physicians, and other departments. Builds and maintains strong working relationships.

- Certification: ASCP certification as an MLS (Medical Laboratory Scientist) or MLT (Medical Laboratory Technician) is required. Specialist certifications in blood banking are preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in blood banking or transfusion services. Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role is a plus.
Salary : $65,000 - $80,000
