Plant Controller

Salary: $115,000 based on experience

Must have excellent communication and strong interpersonal and analytical skills are required. Cost accounting experience and experience in manufacturing and distribution is a must. Must have experience with an ERP system.

Job Summary:

Responsible for the Company's Accounting and reporting. This includes establishing and monitoring internal controls. Must be able to facilitate and review forecasts and financial reporting across numerous sites. Principal Accountabilities:

• Responsible for managing cost accounting and inventory control policies and procedures.
• Monitor and generate monthly forecasts through financial analysis.
• Help ensure internal controls by safeguarding of Company's assets.
• Complete period end close accurately, completely and within the required timeline.
• Responsible for balance sheet account reconciliations, as required.
• Perform trend and other reviews of results to identify and explain period to period variances.
• Establishes and coordinates cost accounting functions.
• General understanding of processing intercompany transactions and reconciliation.
• Responsible for all transactions processed and management of the local financial system.
• Support production and supply chain management to ensure the pricing of materials.
• Ensure defined internal controls are followed on a consistent basis for compliance.
• Drive process improvement.
• Achieve margin objectives, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions.
• Respond to leaders of Finance as assigned with accurate and timely work to facilitate the company financial needs.
• Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
• Communicate with co-workers, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  
  

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

• This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Education and Work Experience:

• 4 Year degree in Accounting or Finance is required
• CPA certification a plus.
• 5-10 years experience preferred
• Progressively worked in a manufacturing environment.
• Leadership experience.
• ERP system experience required.
• Strong communication skills with excellent interpersonal and analytical skills required
