Immediate Need for a Licensed Occupational Therapist
Evaluate and Treat Acute Care Inpatient population
Occupational Therapist will plan and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients according to the principles and practices of Occupational Therapy.
Evaluates and treats patients regarding the application of a wide variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of function / occupation and developmental disorders.
Oversees and insures a comprehensive rehabilitation program designed to meet the physical, cognitive, psychosocial, and immediate environmental well-being of the patient.
Promotes patient / caregiver self-determination by optimizing outside resource utilization to achieve the highest level of independence.
Coordinates and communicates with various disciplines or services involved in patient care.
Coordinates efforts toward discharge goals established at initial evaluation and during episode of care.
Is a patient advocate.
Job Requirements
Must have an active NM or compact license
Must be a team player, flexible and accustomed to fast paced environment
Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment
Include at least two references (one must be from current manager), a resume, and completed skills checklist / competency assessment.
Schedule Information
8 hour Day Shifts Starts between 0730-0900
Weekend (minimum of two per month, staffing dependent, with comp day before / after) and floating required
Shifts may fluctuate to fulfill department staffing needs
On call, weekends and holidays may be required
Floating to RMC required if needed
Travelers are first to float within facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of permanent assigned location
Orientation : 1st week of the contract, not to exceed 40 total hours, and includes EPIC training.
Unit Specific Information
EMR : EPIC experience preferred.

Travelers must not have been an employee of the Presbyterian Healthcare Services system for 12 months from last day worked, in order to be considered for a travel position.
State tax is passed through to your agency and will be reflected on your invoice.
ENSURE AN ACCURATE SS# and DOB IS ENTERED. IF NOT, TRAVELER MAY BE PUSHED / AGENCY SUSPENDED (creates I.T. onboarding issues).
