Job Summary:
The Large Format Digital Print Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the print production team, ensuring efficient and high-quality printing of various materials by supervising staff, monitoring equipment, and maintaining quality standards
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assign and delegate print jobs to operators based on workload and skillset.
- Monitor production schedules to meet deadlines and identify potential delays.
- Perform first-piece inspection on all print jobs and oversee end product meets quality standards by inspecting work and evaluating output to make adjustments to obtain customer specifications.
- Conduct quality checks throughout the print process to maintain consistent quality standards and coordinate preventive maintenance as necessary.
- Provide mentorship and development opportunities for staff.
- Ensure adherence to safety and cleanliness protocols and proper handling of print equipment, raw materials, and finished goods.
- Experience in operating large format machinery and finishing equipment.
- Skills knowledge of administrative procedures and practices to include effective written and oral communication, organization, and ability to coordinate and monitor the work of others.
- Ability to interpret job bag, safety rules, operating, and maintenance instruction and procedure manuals.
- Maintain and safely use all large/web format finishing tools and equipment provided for trimming, cutting, sewing, laminating, and or packaging when necessary.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- 3-6 years' experience industry operator experience in large format printing.
- Demonstrate the ability to lead, motivate, and supervise staff.
- Proficient in the operation of MAC, PC, Windows, Microsoft office, RIP software and Pre-production File Prep.
