Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Maintenance Mechanics to join our team in the Upstate New York area. As a key member of our industrial maintenance team, you will perform in-process repairs of equipment during production and schedule maintenance repairs of production equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment in the event of a breakdown.
- Perform both mechanical and electrical work, including pumps, motors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance such as cleaning, lubrication, testing, adjustment, part replacement, calibration, etc.
- Read schematics, prints, maintenance, and operating manuals to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, scissors lifts, pallet jacks, etc.
- Fabricate, repair, or rebuild components and sub-assemblies.
- Communicate with maintenance team members and other departments to report and resolve issues.
- Complete verbal and written work orders as assigned.
- Document work in the CMMS system.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Associate's degree in a technical field is preferred.
- 5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance position.
- Broad knowledge of piping systems, electrical systems, and process control instrumentation.
